UAV
How to Get the UAV Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from Mimicron in the “Tipping Point” Order Bunker, Idolator’s Noose, the Fadefields.
- Death From Above
The UAV isn’t exactly going to allow players to scan enemies like they’re in a sweaty PvP lobby. Instead, it’s going to see them place down a beacon, which results in flying drones zooming past for a drive-by (or a fly-by). These drones will carpet bomb the area with explosives and elemental damage, and the explosive radius is fairly generous, enough to cause quite a bit of damage for those who are standing within the UAV’s thrown beacon. The UAV is very effective against hordes of enemies, as the carpet bombing doesn’t need accuracy. The UAV is also great for bosses that don’t move so fast, as while the grenade is fairly slow, it’s still plenty deadly.
Chaumurky
How to Get the Chaumurky Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from the Foundry Freaks (Hank the Welder, Sal the Engineer, Frank the Furnace) at “The Pitted Stain” Ripper Drill Site, located in Idolator’s Noose, the Fadefields.
- Incessant – Continuously homes in on a target
Chaumurky is an Order grenade with a single charge, and that single charge will definitely be worth the patience of regeneration that it takes to get it back. The Chaumurky uses the Order’s natural ability to home in on a target, except it’s not going to explode upon impact. Instead, the Chaumurky is going to repeatedly beat up the target by homing in on them again and again. If that target has been killed, then it will seek out another enemy. This lasts for quite some time, so throw one out and see a flying companion beat up the bad guys for mobbing.
Blockbuster
How to Get the Blockbuster Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from Vile Lictor in the Umbral Foundry, Windpsear, Terminus Range. Available after the Main Mission: “His Vile Sanctum”
- Got You Covered
While the Blockbuster Grenade certainly has you covered, it’s really you who needs to take cover. The Blockbuster Grenade is extremely powerful and will see itself bounce around in clusters, exploding a total of 5 times. The multiplication of the grenade and its exploding radius makes it extremely effective for taking out bosses with its impact damage and potential elemental type. Players can use the Blockbuster as both a boss-damage tool and for mobbing areas of squishier enemies, but players will need to be mindful of its erratic radius, as they might just see themselves caught in the blast.
explodes 5 times
Swarm
How to Get the Swarm Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from Sydney Pointylegs at “The Prospects” Ripper Drill Site, Hungering Plain, the Fadefields.
- Swoosh
Don’t be fooled by the red text that simply reads “Swoosh”, as the Swarm’s hidden and unwritten special effect makes it more than worth its use. When you throw Swarm, you will see a swarm of grenades. The first throw will split into three grenades, and then these grenades will swarm around targets with decent homing, and then split into an additional three grenades. That’s basically 9 grenades in one, and while the damage isn’t amazing for the first throw, the mobbing potential is great. This single grenade can hit an enemy 9 times, or split apart to hit 9 separate enemies, to really make sure that nobody is getting up from this serious bout of damage.
Firepot
How to Get the Firepot Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from Leader Willem, located at The Excrucible in Grindstone of the Worthy, Carcadia Burn. Available after “The Mole’s Gambit”, the final Faction Mission for the Electi started with Levaine.
- Spicy – Spawns hominh Torgue Stickies over time.
Torgue is known for loving explosions, so why not pair those explosions with literal hellfire? The Firepot is a Grenade that always uses Incendiary as its elemental type, and that really helps to melt fleshy enemies. The Firepot will throw a bouncing grenade that travels pretty far along its uninterrupted journey. While this bouncing grenade is active, homing Torgue Stickies will periodically emerge and seek out enemies to explode. With just a singular grenade, the Firepot can wipe out multiple enemies with its constant surge of burning flesh and homing explosives. The Firepot isn’t just great for mobbing, as it’s also a boss destroyer, as players can stack this grenade and Ordnance damage to ensure it melts through any fierce foe.
Jelly
How to Get the Jelly Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from Splashzone, located in the Riptide Grotto, in Coastal Bonescape, the Fadefields.
- Self-Replicating
The Jelly is great for a multitude of reasons. It comes with plenty of charges, deals decent damage, and can have a different assortment of Elemental Types that it rolls with. As a Ripper Grenade, the Jelly will teleport to its target, but that’s not all. The main reason to use Jelly comes from its special effect, as throwing Rippy will split into two upon impact, and it will bounce around repeatedly. While the splash damage might be a tad risky, the Jelly is extremely worth it, since the bounce time is fast and sporadic. With so many bounces, the Jelly can be spammed with deadly effects against mobbing enemies, and can also be used to ensure Elemental Effects will burn through those oversized bosses.
Slippy
How to Get the Slippy Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from Shadowpelt, located at the “Whistler’s Maw” Abandoned Auger Mine in Cuspid Climb, Terminus Range.
- Swordfish – Deals Melee Damage on detonation.
Not only is it hilarious to have Slippy, since it’s a literal fish that you can throw and slap your enemies with, but it also offers immense power. Slippy is absolutely absurd, as it can launch enemies into the air with a simple slap. When players throw Slippy, it will bounce and split into two, then bounce again and split into three. Slippy can also be buffed with its special effect, as it will use Melee Damage on detonation, making this a Melee and Ordnance combo. Players can build into Melee and Ordnance damage builds to make the Slippy grenade truly lethal, throwing it at all sorts of enemies to ensure that they experience a rather embarrassing demise at the hands of a wet fish.
Waterfall
How to Get the Waterfall Grenade in Borderlands 4
- How to Get: Farmed from the Bio-Bulkhead, located at Synthetic Nave, Dissected Plateau in the Fadefields. Available after the Main Mission “One Fell Swoop”.
- Waterfall – Causes additional explosions when damaging targets.
Waterfall can drop with some truly overpowered effects, with a Pulsing Augment that can emit damage in bursts, and the Nuke effect that increases the Grenade Damage, Damage Radius, and Cooldown. These effects all work to make Waterfall extremely powerful, and they only further aid the main special effect, causing additional explosions when damaging targets. This means that players can throw the Waterfall grenade at bosses and smaller enemies to see a large radius implode them with elemental effects, with the blast lingering so long as there’s someone to damage.
