How to Carry More Items (Increase Max Inventory Space) — Silent Hill f

Players will be picking up several consumables and offerings as they explore the world of Silent Hill f. In some sections, you’ll find more items than you can carry, which can become tedious if you’ve run out of inventory space and don’t want to leave anything behind. Players will need to do some serious inventory management if they want to always keep a few free slots to carry loot they find along the way. However, there’s a way to increase the max carry capacity (inventory space) on Hinako, here’s how.

How to Increase Storage Space in Silent Hill f (Inventory Upgrades)

At the start of the game, players will have eight inventory slots to store items in Silent Hill f. As they reach other areas, they’ll be able to find bags that will increase the inventory space by one.

There are six inventory upgrades in the game (four in standard and two in New Game+), which will bring the player’s maximum carry capacity to 14. However, these are hidden away in different chapters, and players will need to thoroughly explore each area to find them.

Weapons and Omamori Charms do not take up inventory space, as they have their own dedicated tabs.

Let’s check out how you can get the first inventory upgrade, the Shoulder Bag, in Silent Hill f.

Once players complete the Shrine Path area, they’ll be transported back to Ebisugaoka, making this our second visit to the area in Silent Hill f. You’ll start in the middle of the area, with a shrine close by. Make sure to interact with the shrine first, to save your data, before heading out to get the inventory upgrade.

Once you’re done, head east from the main street until you spot an alley leading to the left illuminated by a light bulb. Take the alleyway and immediately turn left to go down the path between the houses.

Keep following the path until you arrive at a small open area with two enemies (Kashimashi). It’s best that you engage and defeat the one on your left first, as the other one is busy pounding its head at the door.

After taking down both enemies, go towards the tree and head left down the small alleyway. You’ll find the first inventory upgrade, “Shoulder Bag,” sitting on a wooden crate at the end. This will be your first upgrade, so your total carry capacity will be increased to nine slots in Silent Hill f.
