The current Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paradox Tera Raid event has an ongoing issue that prevents users from joining raids hosted by players with the opposite version, prompting an apology from The Pokemon Company. The company has stated that it is looking into these Tera Raid issues for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but has not offered a timetable for a fix.
On October 2, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet started a Paradox Tera Raid event highlighted by Seven-Star battles against Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant. The event also brought back Five-Star Tera Raids against Paradox Pokemon like Great Tusk and Iron Treads for trainers to battle. Iron Valiant has the Fairy-Tera type, while Roaring Moon is a Dragon-Tera monster. The Tera Raid event concludes on Sunday, October 12, at 7:59 PM Eastern. It is unclear if the Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon events will get a second run in the future, so Pokemon trainers have a limited time to participate.
Pokemon Acknowledges Issues With October 2025 Paradox Tera Raid Event
Although previous Paradox Tera Raid events allowed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers to participate in the opposite version’s battles via the Internet, that is currently not the case with Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon. While some Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players pondered whether this move was intentional or not, The Pokemon Company clarified that a bug is impeding players’ enjoyment of the event. Currently, Pokemon Scarlet players cannot join Iron Valiant Tera Raids, and Pokemon Violet players cannot battle Roaring Moon. The Pokemon Company has stated that it is investigating the bug and apologized to players for any inconvenience caused. However, the developers offered no timetable for a fix, so Pokemon trainers must wait for more information.
For the time being, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant can only be battled in their respective versions until the problem is resolved. During each battle, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant will respectively use Sunny Day and Electric Terrain from the start. These moves, in turn, will activate their Protosynthesis and Quark Drive abilities, which boost one of their highest base stats by a level. Given that each Seven-Star Paradox Pokemon has ways to increase its strongest statistics and counter its weaknesses, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players must neutralize any stat changes to make the Tera Raid battles easier to manage.
Between the Paradox Tera Raid issues and the controversial Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon distribution event, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have taken to social media to express their recent dissatisfaction. It remains to be seen how The Pokemon Company will remedy the current Tera Raid situation.
